The inspiration and vision for this conference consisted of a Friday night, YPAA speaker/meeting, and strong collaboration of AA/Al-Anon/Alateen Panels, workshops, etc.  The vision for the event was to “think outside the box” for presentations and activities throughout the weekend.  It is hoped by the founders that this conference is affordable and able to be attended by all.  The founders envisioned multiple AA and Al-Anon groups coming together to create a weekend of recovery.  There will be a disbandment meeting of the “host committee” and the “founders” to discuss the ongoing nature of the jamboree.  The seed money that has been given by the founders shall be returned if possible at the end of the jamboree.
